Connectivity issues for US customers as part of widespread AWS outage

We have received reports of AWS suffering from widespread Internet connectivity issues in their US (North California) data centers.

AWS Official statement: [07:52 AM PST] We are investigating Internet connectivity issues to the US-WEST-1 Region.

Web Apps, Native Apps (iOS and Android), Integrations (Data Sources), USA, Canada, Emails, and 4 other services are down

Next Sunday, November 28th at 8PM GMT Fliplet’s Engineering team will carry out a scheduled routine upgrade to our database systems to enhance security and ensure our operative systems are up to date with the LTS versions including any available patch.

This may briefly impact our EU and US customers when using our services including APIs, Studio and Apps that require online connectivity to our systems when displaying information or submitting forms.

Please note that Canadian customers won’t be affected. We do expect the maintenance to last no more than 15 minutes and apologise for any minor disruption this may cause to your end users.

Our status page will be reporting any downtime to our services so keep an eye on it and if you have questions please get in touch with our support team.

Fliplet Studio is unavailable due a faulty deployment.

Significant slow downs for US customers

Fliplet suffered from a system outage which caused our US customers significant slow downs when using Studio and web apps on October 13th between 17:20 and 19:15 GMT.

The issue has been caused by one of our databases in North California being heavily impacted by an unoptimised analytics query and its caching layer released as part of backend changes required to support Fliplet’s new app-based pricing offering earlier in the day.
